It is located 4,700 meters above sea level in the Santa Bárbara district of Carhuacayan, Yauli Province, Junin Region. The project consists of 2,100 hectares of concessions in an area with significant geological potential.

The Alpamarca operating unit is located in the Santa Bárbara district of Carhuacayán, Yauli province and Junín department, 182 km east of Lima.
This unit began operations in April 2014 and is made up of the mine Río Pallanga underground (suspended), the Alpamarca open pit, a concentrator plant called Alpamarca and the Romina - Puagjanca project.
In 2019, the production of ore from pits was 552 thousand tons. Also was extracted 7.62 million tons of waste that includes preparation areas, reaching a striping ratio of 13.8.
