Eurasian Resources Group's(ERG) integrated BAMIN operation in the state of Bahia consists of the Pedra de Ferro iron ore mine, the FIOL railway and the Porto Sul port development. It represents one of the largest infrastructure development projects in Brazil, with a planned production of 26 million tonnes. |

High-quality products: direct shipping ore (DSO) and direct reduction pellet feed (DRPF).
The mine will use a dry-stack tailings storage facility.
Design capacity of 26 mtpa, expandable to >40 mtpa.
BAMIN, producing iron ore in Bahia on a scale of 1 million tons per year (the output achieved in 2021), is now focusing its efforts on the construction of the FIOL railway line, needed for transporting ore from the Pedra de Ferro mine at Caetité to the Porto Sul shipping terminal. When it is concluded, the railway will be able to carry 60 million tons a year, though BAMIN itself will occupy only one-third of that capacity, since output at Pedra de Ferro is expected to stabilise at 18 million tons a year.
