In July, Glencore received an approval for a 2 year extension to the Glendell Mining Development Consent (DA80/952). This modification is seeking to extend the approved operating period for Glendell by two years, until 30 June 2026.

Glendell is a multi-seam coal deposit containing a number of seams of the Foybrook Formation, which is the lowermost coal bearing formation of the Wittingham Coal Measures.

Mineable coal seams at Glendell range in thickness from 0.3m to 3.5m including Pikes Gully, Arties, Upper Liddell, Middle Liddell, Lower Liddell and Barrett seams.
