In early 2024, the Zijin transferred the 5% equity interest in the Kolwezi Mine in the DR Congo to the government of the DR Congo. After the transfer, the Zijin’s equity interest changed to 67%.
The other 28% is owned by La Générale des Carrières et des Mines (Gecamines S.A.).
