Snapshot	Barora Area is located on the western part of Jharia Coalfield and it consists of three mines: Amalgamated Muraidih Phularitand (AMP) Colliery, Damoda Colliery and Madhuband Colliery. The mining operation of Madhuband Colliery is suspended since 01.04.2010. The Global tender has been invited for production of 1 million tonne. Barora Area's mines producing coking coal, and non-coking coal in small scale.

Summary:

Currently, the ROM coal of amalgamated Muraidih OC Colliery is being sized by 3 Feeder Breakers and dispatched to KKC Link Siding located besides of Mahuda-Gomoh Railway line. In Phularitand Colliery, ROM coal is also sized to the required size by 2 feeder breakers before dispatching of coal to the same KKC link siding, and partly by road transport. From KKC siding, coal is being sent to different Power Plants.
