Snapshot	Mining and concentrate production was suspended on July 31, 2019, due to the exhaustion of its reserves. In 2022, Bunker Hill Mining Corp. completed the purchase of a package of equipment and parts inventory from Teck Resources Limited’s Pend Oreille operation. The package comprises substantially all the mineral processing equipment including complete crushing, grinding and flotation circuits suitable for a planned ~1,500 ton-per-day operation at the Bunker Hill site, and total inventory of components and parts for the mill, assay lab, conveyer, field instruments, and electrical spares. Refurbishment of the Pend Oreille mill equipment, the source of the majority of mill components, was well underway in 2023.

Summary:

The Pend Oreille mine is a carbonate-hosted zinc-lead orebody situated within the Metaline Formation in the southern portion of the Kootenay arc, an arcuate, narrow belt of sedimentary, volcanic and metamorphic rocks separating Precambrian metasediments to the east and Mesozoic volcanic and sedimentary units to the west. Metaline carbonates host the known zinclead deposits within the district.

Mineralization at the Pend Oreille mine is located within the Yellowhead horizon of the Metaline Formation, an intensely altered stratabound dolomitic solution breccia, which has been invaded and replaced by fine-grained pyrite with lesser zinc and lead sulphides. The sulphide zone has relatively simple mineralogy. Sphalerite and galena are the two ore minerals of interest. Gangue minerals include pyrite, dolomite and calcite.
