Strike's Apurimac Iron Ore Project in Peru is recognised as one of the highest grade, large scale magnetite projects in the world.
Strike has completed two shipments (to Chinese and South American Steel Mills) of high-grade (+65% Fe) Apurimac Premium Lump DSO in calendar 2021.
Strike is investigating further shipments from Peru, subject to satisfaction with a number of matters including negotiation of an acceptable price (referenced to the benchmark iron ore price) and Strike securing sufficient working capital to fund production to this end. |

Summary:
The main Opaban I deposit is an iron-skarn deposit, tabular-shaped and generally flatlying. Drilling has so far defined the dimensions of a mineralised body as being approximately 1,600 metres long by 300 metres wide, in a zone in which massive iron oxide deposits occur in several locations along a 5 kilometre northwest trend.
Strike’s Apurimac Iron Ore Project in Peru is recognised as one of the highest grade, large-scale magnetite projects in the world with the potential to support the establishment of a significant iron ore operation.
Summary:
Strike has been mining high-grade surface deposits of DSO material from Apurimac via the process of engagement of local miners who are permitted, under Peruvian mining legislation.
A highly conservative angle of 35 degrees has been used for the study, so the potential exists to steepen the slope and therefore reduce the strip ratio and further reduce mining costs.
