Summary:
Asam- Asam Coal consists of six major seams which are seam until seam G. The thickness of their coal seams varies from 2-25 m with strike of N70°E and dip around 25°-35°. Asam-asam coal mine has approximately 52 million ton reserve of low rank coal at a relatively low stripping ratio which is around 4.67.

The Asam Asam mining site produce eco-coal (sub-bituminous coal) which is commonly used for steam power generation domestically and overseas. This coal has an exceptionally low sulfur and ash content and is therefore categorized as environmentally friendly coal.
The Asam-Asam and Kintap mining sites have changed their coal transportation method from using trucks to using overland conveyor (OLC) facility.
