The Duketon South Operations (“DSO”) contain the Garden Well Gold Mine (open pit and underground), the Rosemont Gold Mine (open pit and underground), the Tooheys Well gold deposit, the Baneygo gold deposit, the Russells Find gold deposit, the Ben Hur gold deposit and other satellite projects, and Garden Well and Rosemont processing plants.
In 2023 site achieved a key milestone with commercial production declared at the Garden Well South underground mine (Garden Well underground mine). |

Summary:
Garden Well
Garden Well is located on the eastern limb of the Erlistoun syncline of the Duketon Greenstone Belt. The gold of the Garden Well Deposit occurs as supergene mineralisation within upper Archaean regolith and as hypogene mineralisation in fresh rock. No significant amounts of gold occur in the transported quaternary clay sequence.
The gold is associated with intensely sheared and folded ultramafic and shale units that have been hydrothermally altered to a silica- carbonate-fuchsite-chlorite-pyrite-arsenopyrite assemblage, and underlying chert units.
The gold mineralisation trends roughly north- south over a distance of 2,100m and dips 50º to 60º east which is sub-parallel to the ultramafic-sediment contact.
Garden Well South
The geology of Garden Well South (GWS) UG consists of a sequence of folded sedimentary and volcanic rocks. The sequence can be differentiated into fine grained siltstones, lapilli and tuff volcaniclastics, sedimentary breccias, black shales, banded iron formation, chert, interbedded chert/shale and a footwall basalt unit. All of the units strike NNW at approximately 340-350o. Folding is tight and plunges approximately 20o to the SSE.
Primary mineralisation is present as pyrite beds and veinlets within the western limb of the syncline, hosted by siderite-altered chert. Mineralisation at GDW is strongly controlled by lithological rock type.

Recent developments at Duketon include the Garden Well South underground mine which achieved commercial production in FY2023 and the Ben Hur open pit mine project (scheduled to commence production in FY2024).
Rosemont
The Rosemont operations include Rosemont open pit and underground mine, as well as Baneygo open pit. The Rosemont and associated surface deposits are mined using conventional open pit mining truck and shovel methods. The Rosemont underground produces approximately 600Ktpa and is mined using mechanised open stoping.
At the Rosemont Gold Mine utilises drill and blast, excavator and truck open pit mining. The existing pit has been designed to be developed in a series of progressive cutbacks.
There are two mining methods proposed to extract ore from the Rosemont Underground deposit. Rosemont South and Rosemont Central are planned to be extracted using a top-down long-hole open stoping method with no backfill, and with pillars to be left for support. The Rosemont crushing and grinding Plant design is based on a nominal 2.5Mtpa throughput rate and utilises a two stage crushing circuit and single ball mill.
The Garden Well plant design is based on a nominal 5Mtpa throughput rate utilising a two stage crushing circuit, scrubber and single ball mill.

Underground Duketon South Mineral Resources are Rosemont Underground, Garden Well Underground, Toohey's Well, and Ben Hur. All resources reported within MSO shells. Garden Well Underground reported at an Economic cut-off of 1.8g/t, Rosemont Underground reported at an economic cut-off of 1.7g/t, Ben Hur, and Toohey's Well reported at an economic cut-off of 1.5g/t.
Ore Reserves: Cut-off grades for ROM Open Pit - 0.5 g/t Au; Cut-off grades for LG Open Pit - 0.3 g/t Au; Cut-off grades for Underground ROM - 1.9 g/t Au.
