Snapshot	The gold ore from Shamva mine is processed at Rebecca Gold Mine. Shamva Mine is already operational underground, but Kuvimba recognize its potential as a significant resource that needs further development. Kuvimba is looking at a substantial capital investment of up to US$150 million to build the necessary infrastructure, including a processing plant, to start producing own gold there. In January 2023, Shamva Gold Mine announced plans to develop a US$140 million open-pit mining operation at Shamva Hill, targeting the production of 200,000 tonnes of ore per month over the next 16 years. In 2024 were launched the starter pits that were designated in the optimization. These have already begun contributing to production. Kuvimba's tactical approach - it is unlocking flexibility in the underground section and scaling up starter pits on the surface. As a result, by mid-2024, Shamva have managed to increase production to around 55,000 tonnes per month.

Summary:

Shamva Mine is situated in the Shamva greenstone belt and exploits numerous orebodies which occur within a 300- to 400-m wide Riedel-type shear system. The sub-vertical orebodies are indistinguishable from the host rocks. Mineralisation within the orebodies consists predominantly of pyrite (>90%) with minor sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite. Gold is found in contact with the sulphides, often in fractures, and varies significantly in grain size with visible gold commonly intersected in development and underground drilling. Silver occurs with the gold and represents some 50% of gold content.
