An important step change took place at San Julián mine in 2024, where the Disseminated Ore Body (DOB) approached the end of its life. Mining activities at the San Julián DOB concluded in November 2024 and the closure plan is underway.

During the 2024 year, production at San Julián Veins increased on the back of higher ore grades and improved dilution control, partially compensating for the fall in production at the DOB. Exploration activities have identified high grades of silver and some gold, giving confidence in the future of the San Julián mine.

Summary:

The San Julian mine displays a silver resource in two different types of ore bodies: (i) typical low sulphidation epithermal veins and (ii) disseminated sulphides in subvolcanic and volcanic felsic rocks. Exploration strategy involved early recognition of Cienega-style characteristics providing confidence in the geologic model, and persistence when evaluating the non-typical disseminated mineralization.
