Tiringpahar leasehold is considered to be a potential iron ore deposit and occupies a south central position in the Eastern limb of Singhbhum-Keonjhar- Bonai iron ore synclinorium. The major iron ore deposit lies mostly in the western part of the leasehold striking NE-SW and dipping NW. Floats of iron ore cover major part in East and NW part of the lease. SLO patch is well developed in the North-West part of the lease hold. The iron ore exposed in this area exhibits a maximum strike length of 70mtrs in the western block of the deposit. Floats of lateritic iron ore are delineated in North-west part of the leasehold.
