The SDE coal project is planned as a three-mine development comprising SDE-I, SDE-II, and SDE-III. SDE-I is already in operation and represents the first phase of the project. The SDE-II is expected to commence production in the first half of 2026.

The coal washing plant has officially commenced operation in December 2024.

PT Sumber Daya Energi (SDE) is the holder of mining business license in respect of the SDE Coal Mine.

PT Sumber Daya Energi is held indirectly as to 75% by Lead Far Development Limited (Lead Far) and directly as to 25% by PT Widyanusa Mandiri (WM). Lead Far is in turn held as to 60% by China Qinfa Group Ltd and 40% by Zhejiang Energy Asia Pacific, subsidiaty of Zhejiang Provincial Energy Group Co., Ltd. WM is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the China Qinfa Group Ltd.
