Jamuna UG minesThe lease hold area of the project has two workable seams namely MK seam & LK II seam. LK II seam is workable in about 67% of the lease hold area. There are 7 nos. faults exist in the property. The throw of these faults varies from 5 meters to 30 meters. Number of fissure – planes has been encountered during the development of MK seam. At many places, roof of MK seam consists of unconsolidated sand stone. The roof of LK II seam is sand stone but in few places roof of MK II seam consists of shale/ Shelly coal/ Sandy Shale up to 2.5 m. For roof support, roof bolting is being done.Meera UG mineThere are several faults in the area with ranging from 12 m to 15 m. In this mine, there are 3 workable seams i.e. Upper Kotma top, Upper Kotma bottom and Middle Kotma seam.Bhadra 7/8 UG mineIn this mine, five seams. Roof and floor seam is sand stone and seam is watery.At Amadand OC mine, thickness of seam ranges from 5 m to 10.5 m. Five normal faults exists in the area.
