Snapshot	Baorixile coal mine is one of the largest open-pit coal mines in China. In 2021, the Baorixile Coal Mine became the first in the world to achieve “5G+ autonomous-driven” heavy-haul truck grouped operations in ultra-cold conditions. In the fourth quarter of 2024, it is planned to deliver “the world’s rst” 240 ton class hydrogen mining truck at Baorixile mine.

Summary:

The mining area of Baorixile mine contains 30 km longitudinally and 10 km latitudinally with a 300 km2 mining area.

The coal-bearing strata is the Cretaceous Damoguaihe formation (K1d). There are three main mineable coal layers, which are named I, II, and III coal seams from top to bottom. At present, the main coal seam of the Baorixile open-pit coal mine is I.

The Cretaceous seam is mainly coal seam with developed fractures, roof, and floor conglomerate and sandstone.
