SnapshotThe Goro nickel-cobalt mine is a fully-integrated mining operation involving an open-pit mine, a South hydrometallurgical plant and a port facility.

In 2021, the Goro facility was successfully restarted with a focus on producing tonnes mixed hydroxide precipitate (MHP), a chemical form of nickel and cobalt that can be used in the batteries that power electric vehicles.

It is one of only three industrial facilities worldwide capable of producing Nickel Hydroxide Cake (NHC).
