The Moa Joint Venture is a vertically integrated enterprise, which mines and refines nickel from lateritic sources. Located in Moa (Cuba) and Fort Saskatchewan (Alberta, Canada), the Moa JV produces class I nickel and high-grade cobalt products.
In 2021, the Moa Joint Venture expansion program was specifically designed to minimize the risks of capital overruns and project delays Low cost and low capital intensity twophase expansion program remains on budget and on schedule. Phase one of the expansion, the Slurry Preparation Plant (“SPP”). With completion of phase two of the expansion, the Processing Plant, annual MSP production is targeted to increase by approximately 20% of contained nickel and cobalt (100% basis). The Moa Joint Venture continues to advance the expansion program at the Moa mine site. |
